missingWrote a review on 14 Decsewerage smellstaff rudeness
i almost considered giving a good review, but the horrendous sewerage smell in our apartment was simply unacceptable. Plus, i was shocked by the staff's lack of politeness, as if we were intruding. such a letdown, especially since i expected a suite upgrade for my 'troubles. ' the whole experience certainly felt like a favour, instead of customary hospitality.

Location near the market square is excellent, making it easy to explore the area. Room felt spacious and clean at first glance, with a nice view of the square through a large bay window. I couldn't open the windows for fresh air, which made it a bit stifling. Comfortable bed, but the lack of extra pillows was an inconvenience. The bathroom could use more attention. the shower had issues, making it difficult to use. Had dinner at the on-site Indian restaurant, which served delicious food that exceeded my expectations. Some staff were friendly, but I found the service during my stay inconsistent, particularly with room cleaning.

The complimentary drinks upon arrival were a delightful touch that added a warm welcome to our stay.
The upstairs of the hotel had a noticeable smell like there was a problem with the drains, which was quite off-putting.

A warm welcome with unexpected quirks
The spacious room, with a large bay window, gave a charming view over the market square. The friendly staff made us feel at home, and the coffee was excellent.
The lack of breakfast options was disappointing, especially since many eateries in town were closed on Sunday. the room got quite stuffy, and we couldn't easily open the windows for fresh air.

friendly staff but room could be better
The staff were very friendly and attentive to my needs. The room was clean, with a lovely comfy bed and a great selection of tea and coffee. I appreciated the quick response when I asked for extra milk. Guests have enjoyed the tasty food vans available on-site, adding to the overall experience.
The room could benefit from a few updates.

A decent option for a city break in Alford with good value. The towels and toiletries were a nice touch upon arrival. Bring some snacks as a nearby pub closes early.
